  adjustable neck straps — horizontal — lug-mount

The adjustable horizontal neck strap comes in 3 ranges of adjustable length.

Short — 30" (76cm) minimun to 37" (94cm) maximum.

Medium — 37" (94cm) minimum to 47" (119cm) maximum.

Long — 46" (116cm) minimum to 60" (152cm) maximum.

The adjustable horizontal neck strap attaches to both lugs, with the included 1/2" split rings, and holds the camera with the traditional horizontal orientation.

All horizontal lug-mount neck straps are US$35.

The adjustment is done with a leather buckle. One end of the strap is permantly attached to the buckle then loops through a split ring and back through the leather buckle.

To adjust the length slide the o-rings to the center.

Then pull the strap through the buckle. To lengthen the strap pull the buckle towards the camera. To shorten the strap pull it away from the camera.

The strap adjusted in its shortest position. If the strap has a neck pad the neck pad will need to also be moved. Finally, slide the o-rings to their original position.

  Colors

Your choice of 1/4" wide natural, russet, dark brown, or black leather with black, gray, white, red, green, blue, yellow, light brown, brown, dark brown, raspberry, turquoise, orange, and hot pink .040" (1mm) diameter waxed heavy-duty cord. Check out the Colors page.

  Neck Pads

My neck straps will support pretty heavy loads but sometimes our necks won't. The straps work fine for lighter cameras but, for those heavier cameras, I have neck pads. These pads are 1" wide and 8 3/4" long for good support. The edges are beveled. They are the same leather as the straps and are available in the same colors. If you want a neck pad, it must be ordered with the strap. Neck pads are an additional US$13. See the Neck Pad page.

  Strap Bumpers

A pair of strap bumpers are an additional US$2 for the O-ring Strap Bumper and US$8 for the Octagonal and Integral Strap Bumpers. I think that, because of the range of motion of a neck strap, the Integral Strap Bumper or the O-ring Strap Bumper would be the best choice.See the Strap bumper page for more information.
